If the culture doesn’t work, don’t buy it…

“The culture that we have does not make people feel good about themselves. We’re teaching the wrong things. And we have to be strong enough to say if the culture doesn’t work, don’t buy it. Create your own.”
-Morrie Schwartz, from Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom

Something that I needed to hear at the start of a new year. Change is not impossible, but it is often difficult and painful. Am I scared of change?

Change is hard. If you are trying to do anything of measure though, it will be hard. Is it worth changing? I really enjoyed this. Please keep blogging and posting insightful things. Tell your mom I said hi.

Thank you! (But which Amanda are you that would be saying hello to my mom?)

      Phoenix Nirvana
A brighter future comes after the painful reborn. It’s hard, but worth it!
I often feel happier and like myself better after some good changes. 🙂

I know of the phoenix and I know about nirvana, but hadn’t ever heard them used together. I like it.

Hi Daryl … I am absolutely astonished at the writings you have here. I’ve read a few and you are an amazing young man. Your determination and love shine through your words. You are a true blessing … with the trials and tribulations that you’ve had, you are the most positive and honest person I’ve ever met. I praise you for your determination, love, and confidence!! Those of us without disabilities need to learn a thing or two from you! You are a ray of sunshine. I’m happy I found you today … I needed to read up some positive words and … there you were!!! Love you Daryl …

Thanks Donna! I’ve been writing down things that I need to tell myself recently – and if others read and gain from it, well then we are both blessed in it. Thanks for reading – great to hear from you!
